We believe that it takes a team to give the best to the children in our care. Therefore we want to work with parent's as partners. Below you will find some dates for Parent workshops. If you are interested come along!

  • Grandparents' Day - Wednesday 21st May

    Green quad are very excited to invite you to our Grandparents' Day celebration on Wednesday 21st May at 2:30pm - 3:00pm. This will be held in the Green Quad Playground. We would love for the children’s grandparents (or other special older relative or family friend) to join us for a joyful afternoon in school. 

    During the afternoon, the children will be performing a selection of poems and asking thoughtful questions to their guests. We are also inviting grandparents to share some of their own stories or memories with the children. The children are always fascinated to learn about the past! There will be a range of food for guests to enjoy.

  • VE Day - Thursday 8th May

    On Thursday 8th May 2025, we will be commemorating Victory in Europe (VE) Day with a special day of celebration and reflective learning. To symbolise peace and unity, we would like children to come to school dressed in white. We hope that this simple, visual gesture will help set the tone for the day and mark the occasion in a respectful and inclusive way. The kitchen has put together a special lunch menu that is inspired by dishes from 1945 (please find menus attached). We also have outlined our plans for the day which can be found below.

  • Easter Holiday Camp - 7th April to 17th April

    During the Easter Half Term, we are holding a holiday club at Ainslie Wood Primary School. This will be run by Omega Sportz who will provide lots of activities such as science experiments, sports, crafts and dance. There will be a bouncy castle as well as a hot meal.   • Global Discovery Day - Tuesday 1st April

    At Ainslie Wood Primary School, we love to embrace the many different cultures and backgrounds of our children. This is why we are excited to announce that we are having a Global Discovery Day on Tuesday 1st April. We have planned a variety of activities for our children to take part in which encourage curiosity and creativity while the children explore different aspects of geography.   • Red Nose Day - Friday 21st March - Dress Up Day

    We will be celebrating Comic Relief on Friday 21st March 2025 with a fabulous Back to the 80s theme! We invite all children to come to school wearing their best 1980s outfits. They can wear anything inspired by the 80s, such as leg-warmers, neon colours, big hair and denim jackets! We would be very grateful if you are able to donate £1. All donations raised will go towards Comic Relief to help those in need across the UK and beyond. All children will be encouraged to take part in activities throughout the day, making it as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to seeing everyone in their outfits!

  • Monday 10th March - Times Tables Rock Stars dress up day

  • Book, cake and pre-loved uniform sale for World Book day, Thursday 6th March from 3.15pm

    After school on Thursday 6th March we will be having a book, cake & pre-loved uniform sale to celebrate World Book Day. 

    Please come along and grab yourself a bargain whilst supporting our AWP to raise funds for our new school playground.

    On Thursday 6th March we will be dressing up as our favourite book characters for World Book Day. We look forward to seeing our children (and staff) in a wonderful array of costumes. On this day we will also be having a special World Book Day menu for the children to enjoy.
