Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are available to:

• Listen to your concerns
• Offer advice and guidance
• Work with families to provide support
• Liaise with external agencies where appropriate
• Ensure concerns are responded to promptly and appropriately

🟠 What Should I Report?

You should contact us if you are concerned that a child may be:

• experiencing neglect
• being physically, emotionally or sexually harmed
• affected by domestic abuse
• displaying significant changes in behaviour or presentation
• struggling with their mental health or emotional wellbeing
• being bullied or harmed by others
• at risk online
• vulnerable to exploitation or radicalisation
• regularly absent from school without explanation
• living in circumstances that make you worried about their safety or wellbeing.

Remember, you do not need to decide whether abuse has occurred. If something doesn't feel right, please tell us.

🔵 What Happens Next?

When you share a concern with us, we will:

✔ Listen carefully to the information you provide.
✔ Consider the child's needs alongside any other information we hold.
✔ Decide what action, if any, is required.
✔ Work with parents and carers wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so.
✔ Seek advice or make referrals to other agencies if additional support is needed.

Every concern is taken seriously and considered in line with our safeguarding procedures.

        Concerns About a Member of Staff
         If your concern relates to the conduct or behaviour of a member of staff, please contact the Headteacher immediately.
         Alternatively, you may contact the Chair of Governors.
         All allegations are managed in accordance with statutory safeguarding guidance.

If you would like independent safeguarding advice, you can also contact:

• Waltham Forest Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to report concerns about a child or vulnerable adult. Call 020 8496 2310 or email MASHrequests@walthamforest.gov.uk)
• NSPCC Helpline - You can contact our Helpline by calling 0808 800 5000 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
• Police (999 in an emergency, 101 for non-emergencies)
