We have recently created a new RE framework making it easier to follow and more succinct. Each term will start with one year group becoming the experts within the religion being studied that half term. They then produce a way of showcasing their expertise to the rest of the school who will then proceed to learn about that religion.
This half term Year 4 became the experts in Hinduism and produced a fantastic assembly explaining all about Diwali. The rest of the school then went on their learning journey and learnt about the different areas within Hinduism, using Year 4 to help deepen our knowledge.
The religion studied each half term has been chosen to link with a religious festival within that half term. During Autumn 2 we will be focusing on Judaism and Christianity to co-inside with Hanukkah and Christmas. We have also ensured that every year group will visit a different place of worship once across the year.
