Wow, what a super busy half term it has been- we have been exploring and learning so much! This half term we have read a range of Julia Donaldson books such as: Room on the Broom, Jack and the Flumflum tree, The Gruffalo, and Stick Man. We went on a walk to the woods in search of Leaf Man, and after lots of searching, managed to find him laying in a pile of leaves! We also experimented what happens when bicarbonate of soda and vinegar are mixed together, made our own salt dough decorations for Christmas, and worked so hard to put together our Nativity show! We have learnt about 3D shapes and their properties, been on lots of sound and shape hunts and have explored the different ways we can move in our PE lessons! We have had lots of fun and look forward to new learning in 2021!

This half term we have enjoyed reading lots of different stories like 'Elmer', 'What makes me, me?', 'The Lion Inside' and 'Giraffe's can't dance'. All of these stories have taught us that it is great being us and that we love that everyone is different, otherwise life would be pretty boring!

We have also spent lots of time finding out and exploring our new setting and enjoying making new friends and having fun!

On the 21st October 2020 it was Apple day. We came in dressed up in the colour of our favourite apple and tried lots of different apples. We then took a vote to find out which apple was our favourite in both classes. Discover class' favourite apple was Golden Delicious and Explore class' favourite apple was Granny Smith.
